Chinchero, Maras y Andean Meeting

A combination of beautiful scenery, archaeology and intercultural intercultural experience with an enterprising enterprising family from the Andes
ITINERARY
Duration: All day ( 7 am to 18 pm approx.)
Departure from Cusco in the direction of Maras to visit this impressive place under the lights of the first rays of the sun. Thousands of white terraces were embedded by the ancient Peruvians on a mountain dyed red, to deposit inside the salt water that springs naturally. After a process of natural evaporation, the salt crystals float on the surface, allowing to obtain salts rich in minerals.
Then, we return to the Inca town of Chinchero, cradle of great weavers. In this place we observe the masterful feat of the Inca architects to build their cultivation terraces on the sacred mountains. The beautiful narrow streets are adorned with multicolored weavings produced by the local population.
After the guided tour, we head to the village of Umasbamba, where Jose Luis and Trinidad await us with gleaming smiles and all-natural warmth. We have lunch with local products and take the time to exchange cultural concepts with our specialized guide. Afterwards, this welcoming family invites us to do some agricultural activity and get to know their guinea pig breeding enterprise (guinea pig).
Return to Cusco at the end of the day.
